Founded in 1960, Kanad was the first hospital in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, bringing international standards of heath care to the community of Al Ain. Founders Dr. Pat and Marian Kennedy were Christian missionaries brought to Al Ain under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
